How I manage to stay fresh all day 🙂
I used to study at Taft – one of the most congested and chaotic areas here in the PH. All the smoke, the trash, the cars, trucks etc, I found it quite impossible to look and stay fresh during my stay at DLSU. Having to cross different buildings with time constraints and grace periods, running from one class to another, late night dance trainings were things I had to deal with that weren’t necessarily related to staying fresh. LOL.
In hindsight, I made sure I had my so-called on the go kit, which I brought everywhere then and up until now. I may not be inconvenienced as before since I don’t attend school anymore, but I guess I have made it a point to always look presentable whenever and wherever I go. Safe to say in my line of work we’re expected to look decent all. the. freaking. time. Not that I am complaining but it’s pretty much about hygiene anyway! 🙂
Sharing with you guys my 5 favorite things to help me look and feel fresh!
I’m the type of person who loathes oily hair. From jumping to one class to another to not showering for a number of hours, sweat and excess oil will naturally come out over time. Applying a small amount of powder to your scalp and spreading it can make your hair look better and not oily! Plus you can use it for your body, too! I use cooling baby powder so I feel that cooling sensation to help me feel fresh! Hihi. It won’t last all day though but it does the trick! Yay!
- Wet Tissue
It’s like tissue and hand sanitizer in one! You can use it to wipe off your sweat whenever you feel stinky and sticky! Then just add powder to make your skin soft! 🙂
- Oil Control Film
This I can’t leave the house without! Made up or not, like I said, oil naturally comes out of us. I don’t consider my skin oily but neither do I consider it dry but I make it a point to wipe off the excess oil on my skin whenever I come off as shiny already! Removing excess oil can easily make you look fresh as if you weren’t out the whole day!
Need I explain? It’ll help you smell good all day! Just apply when you feel the need so you won’t smell like sweat or you stayed under the sun. Hehe. A big no no for me though is when you apply perfume to conceal body odor/sweat! It will only make things worse, people!
- Pads and Panty Liners
Because you will just never know when it will hit you. Periods are predictable but those discharges and any other type of wetness there? Aghhh hate the feeling and most especially the hassle! Pretty much all you girls would agree how much you hate that gushing feeling you have especially when you have a big sneeze or what not! Talk about eww right!! Let’s all just play safe and make these particular items as a staple so we feel fresh down there as well! With that we will always feel secure and can make do with our lives with no hesitations! 🙂
So there you have it! Just 5 because no one wants to bring too much either! Also think that’s enough anyway! Hope you guys learned a thing or two regarding my essentials! 🙂 Mind sharing your own “hacks” with me, too? 😀
